Do we have a voice in the Parliament via an MP, to discuss the merits on the proposed amendments to DPA.
NCW has illogical reasons, to amend the current section. I read the amendments and justifications. But they do not hold merit.

NCW fails to realize- that a proviso is required to curb misuse. They can not define "volutariliy" and words "love"
How do you prove "voluntarily" and "love".

How can we get our voice heard in the parliament. Do we have anybody from SIFF to represent us.

When an amendment is proposed the bill is put up for Public opinion and is also referred to Rajya sabha select commitee sometimes at that point of time we are heard through repersentations in person and memos .
We have done this before for women reservation Bills about 2 yrs ago and got support of many MP's the bill was stalled at that time.
Surely we would bring de-merits of this amendments to the notice of WCD and parliament.

Could you please shed some lights on how to make public opinion in this case. This will help our members, victims, friends etc etc to send their public opinion. Thanks.

I guess many of the nationally elected officials are not even aware about this law. May be we should send some letter in english, hindi, other languages to the elected officials with a copy to media so that at least there might be a chance that they might be aware about the misuse before passing the law.

Any thing which goes to RS or LS for retification is first published in an official gazzette the same is also pulished in some Daily Newspapers and then public opinion is invited that how we (Public) become a party for all this we need to keep looking and official notices of LS and RS which we do and then act by giving a presentation or by sending in a memo or appearing before a commitee.
Sometime the bored looks on the face of MP's makes our work look like a foolish attempt of trying to prevent a Lion eating a Lamb in a jungle.
We assure we would not give up so easily and only fail after a fight.
