Post subject:  498a/406 and Federal Skilled Worker Program in Canada

Folks,
I have a 498a/406 registered against me and my family. Would want to know implications of that on my current application under Federal Skilled Worker Program of Canada? CIC( Canada Immigration Center) seeks a Police Report.
Does that mean trouble?

Currently FIR stage no chargesheet.

CIC is Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Not Canada Immigration Center.(This shows that people do not even do minimum amount of research before starting new threads)

For categories that have shorter processing times, CIC usually recommends u submit PCC/medical at the time of application submission. They will still accept ur application without PCC but will delay application until u do submit it. In some categories it's mandatory to submit PCC/medical at the time of application submission. Why u never submitted until now is beyond me. Now, u legally cannot get PCC during 498a investigation. You r lucky if they don't take away ur passport during bail hearing, let alone giving u PCC to escape 498a.

And if ur wife writes to CIC regarding allegations, consider ur application as good as dead. Among all countries, Canada gets the highest number of applications relative to quota set for giving visas and hence, they r very picky n won't accept a doubtful application. Try ur best to quash the FIR.

Even as things stand now, I would still attempt to get PCC, u might get lucky. I'M VERY SERIOUS, u just might get it as Indian Police still lags behind in communication with one another. And if the complain was not registered at ur local PS, chances r even higher that u'll get PCC. U can also try bribing the police to get it. Give it a shot.
